This 48 tooth aluminum gear is pivotal in steering the Swerve & Steer module.
It drives a 40 tooth gear, and it is driven from the PG71 gear-motor. The
surface of this aluminum gear is treated with a very durable hard coat
anodization to allow for wear. This gear receives a fairly low torque, and
therefore aluminum is a good, lightweight material for it's use.
