NeveRest Motor REV Expansion Hub Encoder Cable

This is an encoder cable used to provide power and receive encoder signals from a Hall Effect Two Channel Encoder and break out each connection to a single pin perfect for a 2.54 mm pitch.

This encoder is provided on our RS775 motor, which is on our PG Gearmotors as well as the NeveRest motor, which is on these Gearmotors:

• NeveRest Classic 60 Gearmotor
• NeveRest Classic 40 Gearmotor
• NeveRest Orbital 3.7 Gearmotor

It has a common white connector on the end addressing the encoder and four individual female connections to fit into the input connector on a robot controller.

The NeveRest 60 is a gearmotor with an attached encoder. The output shaft geometry and the gearbox housing diameter is similar to what FTC teams are familiar with. The shaft is a 6 mm D and the gearbox housing is 37 mm diameter.

Use this 10-cell, 12-volt rechargeable pack to bring long-lasting power to TETRIX^® motors and electronics. This 3,000 mAh NiMH pack features a built-in, 20-amp replaceable fuse for safety.

TETRIX MAX Motor Shaft Hubs attaches wheels and gears to motor shafts. Each hub comes with a screw and is made of heavy-duty aluminum.

Compliant wheels are not intended for moving robots, but moving objects. Compliant wheels give way to allow rigid objects to be manipulated easily. A line of multiple wheels on a driven hex axle creates a very effective roller that ignores variations in the objects being driven. This makes for high-performance intakes and internal conveyors.

Different durometer ratings give each wheel unique characteristics. Green wheels (35A durometer) are the softest and most compliant around objects, maroon (45A), blue (50A), and black (60A) wheels are increasingly firm. Compliant wheels are not intended for moving robots, but moving objects. Compliant wheels give way to allow rigid objects to be manipulated easily. A line of multiple wheels on a driven hex shaft creates a very effective roller that ignores variations in the objects being driven. This makes for high-performance intakes and internal conveyors. The wheels are sized for an interference fit and tend to stay in place on a shaft, though a shaft collar may be used to make absolutely sure the wheels stay clear of other mechanisms or maintain consistent spacing.

The hex bore versions of this wheel are undersized, and are intended to be an interference fit on their respective hex shafts. This interference fit allows for effective torque transfer from the hex shaft to the wheel, as well as allowing the wheel to remain in place along the shaft without the need for spacers or collar clamps:
