Electrical Components
Snap action breakers are used commonly in mobile robot applications such as FIRST Robotics Competition power distribution boards. We offer several amperage versions.
These ring terminals are intended for securing 10-12 AWG wire to #8 sized terminals. These are superior to spade terminals, as they cannot loosen out of a terminal. We recommend the use of these terminals with the SPARK motor controller (am-4260). The terminal is superconductive copper that is tin-plated to resist wear.
This cable can be used in many ways, a power cable for the Gorgon Flex, or from a Speed Controller to a CIM motor. One end connectors are crimped with PowerPole Connectors, two crimps and a black and red housing are shipped with this cable. Tip-to-tip length is approximately 24 inches.
Specifications:
This is 12 GA bonded wire* with Red and Black Jacketing. It is much easier to use than two separate wires, easier to follow during troubleshooting, and easier to keep your wiring clean. Pull apart at the end only as much as you need and the rest stays together.
If you are looking for a much more flexible wire or wire that is not bonded check out our Silicone Wire.
* - This is also known as zip cord or zip wire.
This 120 Amp Circuit breaker forms the main circuit breaker for FIRST Robotics Competition robots. It can protect your robot or other system from drawing so much current that systems receive more damage. Of course, we highly recommend using circuit breakers downstream rated for less to protect your motors, speed controllers, and control system components.
Specifications:
The SLA1116 is a 12 Volt, 18 amp-hour sealed lead acid battery with nut and bolt connector. The batteries will be packed within a 7"x7"x7" box (aka: interior box). A layer packing material surrounds the interior box, within a 9"x9"x9" box. The entire weight of this double box packing assembly will be approximately 29 pounds.
These premium batteries are AGM (absorbent glass mat) type sealed lead-acid batteries. AGM batteries use thin glass fibers interwoven into a mat. This helps to make the battery spill-proof, as the fibers containing the glass mat gradually absorbs the acid composition. As a result, AGM batteries have fewer hazardous material limitations.
AGM’s unique composition allows the batteries to produce high currents and longer life span. The technology also minimizes internal resistance and helps the battery to survive low temperatures. Specific models of AGM product will allow users to benefit from AGM’s deep-cycling capability. It also offers a charging speed that is 5x faster than conventional flooded deep-cycle batteries.
AGM ADVANTAGES
• Less prone to sulfation - (Topping off charges typically only required every three months).
• High on-demand power, Low internal resistance & responsive to demand load.
• Longer/ better cycles & efficient usage life than conventional flooded systems.
• Up To 5X Faster charging capacity (Compared to conventional flooded battery technology).
• Stands up well to cold temperature.
• Vibration resistance due to sandwich construction.
• Spill proof through acid encapsulation in matting technology.
• Eco-friendly, has less electrolyte and lead compared to conventional flooded type batteries.
AGM CONSIDERATIONS
• Higher cost than conventional batteries.
• Must be stored in charged condition (less critical than conventional flooded batteries).
• AGM batteries are sensitive to overcharging
Two (2) batteries are shipped within one box for this price.

This simple, effective connector makes it easy for a robot builder to wire their D-Link radio to their Voltage Regulator Module (VRM) and also a good use for our Ethernet Microcontroller (am-2287).
The screw terminals can accept a wire as large as 12 gauge.

This is the cable used with an Absolute Encoder. 3-pin micro mating connector on one end of 3 individual discrete 26 AWG wires. Standard length is 1FT.
This is a PWM cable, also known as a "servo extension cable." 22 gauge wire is used in these cables. Universal servo connectors are on each end, with a female connector on one end and a male on the other.
Note: Product received may vary from image shown. Some cables may ship with a separate protective housing on the male end of the cable. If this housing interferes with your application it can be removed with a small screwdriver gently inserted between the connector and the housing.
