Additional Stages
- AndyMark officially supports a 3 stage system however teams may elect to add additional stages to increase reach.
- Note: Teams should consider the increased wraps of string on the pulley assembly when attempting to add more stages.

Suggested Rigging:

Continuous
- One string per direction that connects through each stage
- For more details, see the assembly guide and video below (coming soon)

Included Powering/Gearing:

NeveRest Orbital 13.7 to 1
- Speedy, approximately 1 second per stage at full speed.
- Enough torque to easily lift multiple stages with a manipulator and game pieces, up to 10lb total.
  - If lifting more than 10lb total including manipulator consider using a higher ratio motor for more torque

This is a single sheet of 1/8 inch thick polycarbonate (PC) plastic, cut to a 24x24 inch square. This single sheet of PC will be shipped with the protective covering on both sides of the plastic sheet.

Polycarbonate was invented in 1963 by Dan Fox at General Electric. GE's trade name for this plastic is LEXAN, but it also is sold under other trade names (Makrolon, Hyzod, Cyrolon).

This material is NOT plexiglas or acrylic, as we don't suggest that you use that material on a mobile robot, since acrylic will easily shatter.

Churro is a versatile extruded aluminum hex profile. The outside of this part is a 1/2 in. hex with small concave dimples which act as weight savings. There is an inside hole is sized at 0.2 in. in order to fit 1/4-20 thread forming screws. No tapping or threading is needed, as long as a thread forming screw is used. The outside hex size fits a 1/2 in. wrench or socket.

The 3-foot churro, our most popular length and the best value on shipping, is available anodized in red, blue, purple, gold and black to dress up your robot. Anodized finish is hardy and doesn't flake off or add thickness like paint, but it is possible for a scratch to expose the bare metal beneath. Take basic precautions in your shop like watching for sharp tools or overtightening this churro in a vise.
